York and Boston Technoproducts LLC's parent company has been admitted into the National Lubricating Grease Institute - an international technical trade association that serves the lubricating grease and gear lubricant industry. Its objectives include promoting research and testing for the development of improved lubricating greases and exploring means for better lubrication engineering and methodology. The consistency of grease in the market is measured by NLGI number - 00/0/1/2/3 etc, which is a unit defined by this institute. We are happy to inform all that Mr. T.R.Kumar    B.Tech (Chemical Engg),  M.Tech (Industrial Tribology - IIT, Chennai) joins TESLA on 1 October 2013 as Director - Technical & Operations   . He brings with him 33 years’ experience in the lube industry having privilege of working for additive and oil companies in India and Middle East.    His background is Chemical engineering in undergraduate and graduate in Industrial Tribology (Gold Medalist) from the premier Indian Institute of Technology, Madras – India. His skill lies in developing cost effective lubricants, particularly specialty and industrial products.   In his previous assignment with ENOC over 7 years, he was heading lubricants technology division involved in product development and technical support to marketing functions and production units. He is the author of all ENOC formulations, instrumental to manufacture synthetic oils FIRST TIME in UAE in 2008. Responsible for securing OEMs approvals ranging from marine to automotive oils.   Prior to ENOC, he was in Petromin Saudi Arabia over 13 years, instrumental in organizing field testing & securing marine oils OEM approvals.
